Inhabited Confederacy System Trumanat

The Trumanat system appeared in Alien Bear Baiting by Thinking_Horndog which established the system as a temporary military staging and support area for operations in Tulakat.
The system contains one world of note, Truman where "the Sa'arm stops here."  Truman is a colony set on a moon orbiting a gas giant known as Primary.  As this colony was the first Confederacy establishment in the system, the system is called Trumanat.  Truman was originally conceived at the beginning of the Swarm War as a convenient place for a temporary outpost to resupply our scouting ships and rest their crews while we searched for our enemies the Sa'arm.  This was soon seen as too limiting, and it was immediately expanded as a Navy base, shipyard, and colony.
When we found the Sa'arm and then immediately afterwards found the Tulaki, Truman became the focus of our war effort for the first couple of years of the war.  Truman hosted our first Marine base as well.
The entire war effort was originally managed from Central Command, based back at home in Earthat.  However, all the drawbacks of having an interstellar war managed from a central point -more than a hundred lightyears away from the bases and battles- when communications were done by carrying messages aboard ships were quickly recognized.  The entire volume of space around Earthat for several hundred lightyears was divided up into semi-independent Military Districts.  Central Command remained as the headquarters of the 1st Military District, only directly responsible for defending the systems within 30 lightyears of Earthat.
As our only point of contact with the Sa'arm so far, Truman became the headquarters for the Second Military District, or 2MD.  The actual 2MD headquarters was soon moved off-planet into the expanding orbital shipyard and naval base along with Second Fleet Headquarters, but 2MD-HQ is still referred to throughout the Diaspora as being 'back on Truman'.  The Marine base remains on Truman as housing is easier and the Marines have the whole moon as an exercise area.

Truman

Atmosphere - The moon Truman itself is too small to have a significant atmosphere, and what little it has is toxic to Earth life.  If there is no air, Humans need an environmental suit that can maintain an Earth-surface environment inside it.  If Earth-normal pressure is present, all Humans need is a respirator and something to shield our skin from the toxins.  In simple terms, people die in minutes when there is bad air, but people die in seconds when there is no air.
Because of this, as a simple safety measure there is an ongoing project to give Truman an atmosphere by simply loading tanks from deep in the atmosphere of Primary, the gas giant Truman orbits, and then emptying the tanks onto Truman's surface.  If an accident or Sa'arm attack ever forces the inhabitants to leave their environmentally-controlled offices, workspaces, and homes, the more Earthlike the atmosphere is the longer the refugees will live.
Gravity - Truman's intrinsic gravity is roughly the same as Earth's Moon.  All ground-side facilities have a gravity-grid built in to give the inhabitants an Earth-normal 1G gravity field.
