Poseidon
This system is the location established within the 'Cadet Saga' by the Duke of Ramus. The main Human settlement is on the third planet Demeter. Under the naming convention used by the Confederacy this system should be called Demeterat but the star was named first and that was what ended up being entered in the records.
Major System Bodies
The Poseidon system has seven planets:
- Poseidon one - a small hot rock almost identical to Mercury and unused by the Confederacy at this time.
- Poseidon two - hot swamp with a methane atmosphere.
- Poseidon three - Demeter
- Poseidon four - very dry cold desert with no atmosphere to speak of.
- Poseidon five - gas giant with methane atmosphere - no moons
- Poseidon six - gas giant with eight moons
- Persephone, moon - main Navy base
- Calliope - moon based R&D center
- Poseidon seven - just a rock
