Peter Lester

Peter Lester becomes Prime Minister of Great Britain after a manufactured scandal forces his predecessor, Neil Conway out of office during January of year 7, month 73.

He is a weak, vaccilating man, propped up from behind by a number of other, stronger figures, most notably Graham Thorn. Although he himself played no part in the manufactured scandal that ousted Conway, and indeed knows it is false, he still played along to ensure Conway was removed.

Nominally fairly right wing, he was a supporter, though not a member of the extreme right wing British National Party (BNP). He had no intention originally of entering parliament, however was pushed into it by his wife and her contacts in the local BNP, as they recognised his essentially weak nature, and saw that he would be easily manipulated. He was first elected to Parliament in a local by-election that was held for his constituency during year 3.

Under his 'leadership', Britain abolishes the House Of Lords because of it's essentially obstructionist, pro confederacy, attitude. He also bans first the Confederacy from Britain, and then bans anyone from taking a CAP test, or of owning a CAP card.

Popular only with the extremists, oddly of both left and right, he quickly alienated much of the centrist elements of Earth First, and slowly became unpopular with the majority of the British People. He remained in office for just eleven months until he was himself forced out of office by Graham Thorn just before Christmas.

At the time he became PM, he was 51 and married with two teenaged boys, 17 and 19. His own CAP score was just 3.8, so he had no qualms at all about banning the CAP system in Britain. His wife and sons all had higher CAP scores than he did, but also all had sub 6.5 scores.
