Swarm Cycle Timeline

   This timeline uses Earth years and months, with "Day Zero" being the day of the first contact between Sa'arm and Confederacy ships where both are armed.  Entries in Black are considered “canon”; they can be used as references in new stories.  Entries in Red are considered “tentative”, they are not stable references.
   As of December 2024, all long entries are being moved to the Timeline Notes page, with the original entry here reduced to a simple summary -see Timeline Notes.  For changes, additions, or corrections please contact ZM or Omachuck.

They also learn that the Confederacy does not plan to defend the Earth, so they make their own preparations forming the nucleus of the Einherjar in the armed forces of the US. 45 September	Colony of Frigia is settled by the survivors of Quay. Year 5
49 January	New Rank structures announced to services except the Civil Service. Changeover will be complete within eighteen months. The Cosca begins large-scale recruitment and deploying its own weaponry not based on Confederacy technology.	Ranch Rescue, a Texas vigilante border patrol calls on all it’s members to participate in a ‘cull’ of immigrants. In Brazoria County, the South Texas Light Infantry Militia group are involved in a running conflict with state and federal troops investigating shootings at a nearby refugee camp. Year 15
169 January		Australia completely controlled by the Swarm. The survivors are evacuated to New Zealand, Tasmania and New Guinea.	Combined NATO and SEATO naval blockade prevents the Swarm from leaving Australia. Aside from the freezing Antarctic ship, it is the Human's first successful Sa'arm 'stop' on Earth.
170 February		Most of South America falls. Southern Argentina and Chile hold out and the Swarm does not cross the Andes. India falls and the Swarm follow the Himalayas east. The Chinese field a massive army that stops the Swarm in Myanmar. The African Swarm spreads north through the middle east and southern Europe while the Siberian Swarm is stopped and forced south and west into central Europe. American military cuts Panama in half and blockades South America. The smaller Swarm landing in Manitoba spreads through the center of Canada and the United States, but intense military bombardment and ground fighting stop them, leading to a stalemate. 205 January
212 August	The Sa'arm reach their greatest control of Earth's land. After this point, the surviving humans slowly push them back. The defenders have unlimited supply support from the colonies and the outer system, and orbiting platforms provide all the artillery support they can ask for. Replicators supplied by outer-system mines feed the survivors while the Sa'arm start to run out of food. The Sa'arm are just as exhausted as the Humans and cannot move at all anywhere on the surface. The two American forces are completely isolated from the main mass in Africa/Asia/Europe. The resources the main Sa'arm force used to take Europe cannot be replaced. (ZM proposal)	The Swarm control all of Africa (100%) and Australia, all of SA except Patagonia and the southern Pacific coast, most of Europe and Asia, and only small parts of central NA. Russia keeps a small pocket around Urals. China is shielded by Gobi Desert and the northern mountains. In NA the Swarm only control the central plains. Both coasts of US are clear to Mississippi River (in east), and Rockies (in west). To the south, Lubbock and Dallas are both evacuated several times but never lost. SE Asia and Oceana kept clear of Swarm. In North Atlantic, Iceland and Ireland are kept clear, Britain is eventually cleared. Denmark is fought over. 221 May	North America is declared free of Sa'arm. The declaration turns out to be premature by two years, but the announcement is a huge moral boost to all defenders.
