Alexander Flowers
Alex is the senior cadet in the Cadet Saga by the Duke of Ramus. He eventually ends up as the governor of Demeter were he implements his own ideas regarding concubines.
New Rules For Concubines
On Demeter to avoid the possibility of a slave revolt the Governor Alex Flowers implemented a system whereby all newly arrived concubines were offered the opportunity to volunteer to serve in the planet's Militia. During the term of service the Citizen would have the same rights as a Sponsor/Volunteer except that they would not be allowed to leave the planet. On completion of their term of service they would become full citizens of the Confederacy.
This led to a new designation of status that applied to the people based on Demeter:
- Regular - a Sponsor with a CAP score of 6.5 or higher
- Citizen - a former Concubine who had volunteered for service on the planet
- Drone - a Concubine who didn't volunteer for service on the planet
