Harrad

The Harrad Colony was a location where the Tu'ull AIs offered humans a planet for a colony in Tu'ull influenced space to identify, analyze, synthesize, and implement those successful techniques used by such colonies as Ishtar, Wayward, and Aphrodite. The Tu'ull believe the Darjee are mismanaging humans and seek to determine the difference between a thoughtful, strategically planned, and carefully selected colony versus the "mishmash, haphazard mess the Darjee foisted upon humans". Accordingly the Harrad Colony was established for this experiment. The colony is located on the planet 'Pern' in the Rukbat System]])
The capital of the Harrad Colony is sited inland, near the major, navigable, river draining a huge northern section of a one of two major continents. Having decided not to yield to temptation when naming features and settlements, Governor Michael nevertheless received enough pressure that he allowed the new capital to be named Benden and the nearby river, Benden River.
