F-105 Star Arrow
Fast but heavy due to its fuel load and two-man tandem crew, the F-105 Star Arrow is a space superiority fighter and reconnaissance scout capable of travelling great distances. Armament includes an M-101 Gatling gun firing depleted uranium shells. In addition it can carry in a ventral bomb bay either missiles, bombs, additional drop tanks or any combination thereof. For a typical scouting/patrol mission, the F-105 is typically equipped with GMS-10S space-to-space missiles or GBS-25G space-to-planetary-surface bombs and can carry a variety of Earth-developed ordinance from NATO or former Warsaw Pact countries. It does not carry supraluminal engines and is not recommended for atmospheric operation.
Typically, the Star Arrow is not deployed from carriers (due to its size, which restricts the number a carrier can hold) but rather from fixed space bases.
