Albionat was named for the colony Albion which was founded on the system's 3rd planet.
Albion
Albion is the system's 3rd planet. It was set up as an agricultural and breeding colony with colonists extracted primarily from the British Isles. The colony's government is set up like a corporation with divisions, departments, and shops, but they use feudal titles:
- The Governor is King Andrew, eldest son of Queen Beatrice. Prior to his extraction and appointment as Governor he was Crown Prince Andrew of the United Kingdom.
- The three inhabited continents are Duchies managed by Dukes (or Duchesses).
- Saint Andrew is run by Duke Steven
- Saint David is run by Duchess Elizabeth, Queen Beatrice's younger child
- Saint Patrick is run by Duke John
- Each continent is divided into Provinces managed by Marquis.
- Each Province is divided into Counties managed by Counts.
- Each County is divided into Manors managed by Barons.
Avalon
The system's 6th planet was named Avalon by the survey team which gathered the information DECO needed to authorize a colony in the system. Nothing else is known about the planet.
