Militia
The title given to local forces raised to protect individual colonies. Army is a substitute term that may be employed, but naming conventions differ between colonies.
The uniform and equipment are of local manufacture and are often based on local designs, especially early in the diaspora.
Later a certain degree of standardization was achieved.
