The Goddess Class Battle Cruiser is smaller than the Hero Class and comes in at 210 meters and 70,000 tons. These ships utilize a unique battery of 40 mobile heavy particle beam turrets that race around the outside of the ship. Because of their unique design the ships also carry a modified complement.
The core ship has 8 officers and 57 crew, while the gun turrets have their own complement of 3 officers and 37 gunners.
The ships are building a reputation for being nearly impossible to destroy quickly as the turrets double as point defense and make the ships hard to damage. Unfortunately they are notorious for poor protection to the communications links and rarely survive a fight with operational communications systems. It also is not uncommon for a badly mauled Goddess to have high casualties in the gunner complement as the turrets are outside the armor and therefore vulnerable. Still the ships have an excellent reputation for brawling.
