The Einherjar were a group of people who believed in the idea of Earth First but not as a case of the Confederacy taking all humans men to safety but rather of putting all of their efforts into defending Earth against the Sa'arm.
They took their name from the warriors who fell in battle and were taken to Valhalla to await the final battle. See the wikipedia article on the Einherjar.
