Geratat is the system containing Vulcan Colony. By Confederacy convention the system is named after the most important settlement, but the Humans settlers renamed the name-source planet "Gerat" to "Vulcan" after the Roman God of the forge.
The Geratat system has eleven planets:
- Geratat one - a small hot rock similar to Mercury.
- Geratat two - a cooler rock but still pretty hot.
- Geratat three - Gerat or Vulcan - one moon and a small ring system.
- Gerat one - Caeculus - rocky moon with a small ring system shared with Vulcan.
- Geratat four - small gas giant (like Uranus) three moons.
- Geratat five - Big jovian gas giant with 80/20 H/He atmosphere - dozens of moons - 130,000 km.
- Geratat six - gas giant 95% H - with thirteen moons and lots of moonlets - 100,000 km diameter.
- Geratat seven - big rock, fractured and breaking up. 15k km in diameter. CO2 atmo.
- Geratat eight - medium sized hydrogen gas giant with eight moons.
- Geratat nine - Big gas giant with 90% H/5% He atmosphere - dozens of moons.
- Geratat ten - volcanic rock. SO2 atmosphere.
- Geratat eleven - small iceball. Nitrogen ice with a nitrogen atmosphere, much like Triton's.
