Galileo Class Shuttle

   These atmosphere-capable shuttles were most commonly found on the K'treel class ships.
   Although they are armed, they were never intended for use as assault craft.  They only accommodate four battle-ready Marines behind the pilot and copilot.  There is a transporter pad built into the cargo/passenger bay.  The rear hatch is hinged at the bottom and opens to form a ramp, but nothing much bigger that a 4-wheeler ATV can be driven inside.  It looks a bit like an oversized AMC Gremlin with pontoons strapped to the sides where wheels would be found.
   The shield generator is primarily for protection during high-speed atmospheric entry.  The propulsion is based on attractor-repulsor units in the pontoons making a Galileo somewhat useless in open space.
