ReadyGo

ReadyGo is a 'recreational' drug available throughout the Diaspora after the Restrictions made it difficult to use a Med-Tube to augment a male's performance.  It reduces a male human's refractory period to a very short time, often only minutes for healthy men, and provides this service for a couple of hours.  It was developed to ensure that a single male Concubine would be able to satisfy a female Sponsor when no other partners were available.
Naturally, the drug rapidly became popular among male Sponsors also.  However, there are significant side effects, so most organizations have outlawed its use unless the user is off-duty and will remain off-duty for long enough to recover.

Primary and Side-Effects

ReadyGo does not extend erection time.  It merely allows a male using it to recover and provide his partner with another erection.  Occasional use of ReadyGo has not been shown to have any long-term health effects.
Short-term effects include blood pressure issues, dehydration, and exhaustion.  Users are commonly not able to function after it wears off without several hours of sleep.  All services have prohibited its use while on-duty.
Long-term effects of repeated use have not yet been properly studied.

Story Use

ReadyGo is mentioned in Ships Morale Officer:

"On crew-slut day, from 0600 until 0600 the next day, I am completely available for any use at any time. I get pretty worn out on those days, but it's not too bad. There are only eight of them. As long as none of them take any ReadyGo, they all get worn out before I do."

and

"If he does that I'm going to get Rex or Ollie to make him take some ReadyGo and fuck me until he can't get it up any more. And he'll get in trouble for abandoning his post without relief."
