Steering Committee

The Steering Committee

   The dissolution of both DECO and Central Command in the aftermath of the 3rd and 4th Battles of Earthat and the subsequent invasion of Earth left the Human portion of the Confederacy with no unifying government function.  Eventually, this need was filled by collecting the Governors of each colony and collectively calling them the Steering Committee.  The AIs and the government of the 'old' Confederacy accepted the Steering Committee as the head of our government, and the AIs started obeying their instructions as the established Human governing body.
