Rank Structure for Confederacy Uniformed Services

The rank structures originally accepted were those of the Western military powers, predominately those of the United States of America and Great Britain.  As time passed and a more unified system of operations came into being it was necessary to iron out the various kinks that had appeared within the structure, most noticeably in the Navy.
The following structure was adopted approximately four years after the Darjee made contact with Earth and was fully in force within eighteen months.

Civil Service

(Note that these ranks were taken from military titles in the old Roman Empire, but they are not pronounced the way the original Latin would back then.  Rather, they are pronounced the way they are spoken in modern English.  The 'C' in Decurion and Vicarius is hard as in the English letter 'K', while the 'C' in Centurion is soft like the English letter 'S'.  'Dux' is pronounced as the English word for multiple birds 'ducks'.  -ZM from an author's email list discussion on 4/25/2015)
